I started practicing massage in Bellevue, WA in the late 60's, and have also worked in Alaska and Idaho. I was licensed in Oregon in 1985 and worked in a Chiropractic clinic for 12 years. I took a leave from massage while I worked as a care-giver for the mother of a friend. Nine years later, Ireactivated my massage license and have been working out of the Estacada Senior Community Center for the last 2 years. The facility is handicap accessible and I use a table that lowers to 17" for easy accessibility. |

Dana Davis, Owner and Massage Therapist at Midnight Sun Massage, focuses her practice on facilitating the body's natural healing abilities in clients suffering from chronic pain, injuries, illness, and stress. Dana offers a wide range of modalities, including Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, Thai Massage, Swedish Massage, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
Dana discovered her drive to be a massage therapist while teaching yoga at Portland State University. “I saw restrictions in my student's bodies and felt the instinct to massage the hypertonic areas in order to increase their range of motion. However that's beyond the scope of practice of a yoga instructor.” When Dana began practicing massage after graduating from East West College of the Healing Arts, her knowledge of yoga naturally became an integral aspect of her work. “I can give my clients certain yoga asanas, tailored to their specific needs, that they can practice at home to augment the bodywork. This allows them to be proactive in their own healing.” Dana's clients find this aspect of her practice one of many reasons why her bodywork is so effective.
Discover for yourself the therapeutic and relaxing results of a bodywork session with Dana Davis, LMT in a tranquil and professional setting at Midnight Sun Massage, or if you prefer, in the privacy of your own home or office. |

When I was a little girl I used to pray that I would be able to "touch people and heal them." When I took a course in Therapeutic Touch in the 1980s, I realized that, without formal training, I had practiced this modality on my Mom when she had surgery for bladder cancer.
Since that initial course in the 1980’s, I have continued my education in various forms of healing touch. I am a master Reiki practitioner, have extensive training in CranioSacral Therapy, and graduated from massage school in June, 2006. In April, 2008, I became connected with the Cancer Community Renewal Project through a course in massage and lymphatic drainage for cancer survivors. I was deeply touched and inspired by that experience.
I look very forward to working with you, and invite you to join me to take part in creating balance and enhancing your physical, emotional and mental well-being. I provide a safe and nurturing space in which you can choose to receive a therapeutic or relaxing massage, the gentle, healing energy of Reiki; or the deep somato-emotional release of CranioSacral Therapy.

Practice Location: 1226 Hwy 99W in Dundee, two miles west of Newberg.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., by appointment only. |
I have been a practicing L.M.T. for 18 years in the Newberg and Dundee area. My modalities range from Swedish, On-site chair, Maternity, and Deep Tissue massage. I am currently a student of Thai massage.
I have on many occasions aided clients in their journey through ailments and injuries. Several clients have come to me for massages during their recovery from cancer. I believe that there is a graceful way to handle the diseases that come to us in our lives. I feel that massage is a great tool for the client to use to help cope with, as well as recover from, any problem that they face. I give you a chance to relax, receive massage, laugh, and talk about what you are facing, or just be quiet and not have to explain anything. Just disappear into a comfortable table and let me massage you in a safe and soothing environment, away from the rest of the world.

I obtained my Oregon license in 2007. I was motivated to do so by the profound effects that massage had on my mother-in-law some years earlier, who was in her 90’s and suffering enormous pain from severe osteoporosis. I believe firmly in the benefits of therapeutic and compassionate touch, especially for the elderly and other populations for whom human-to-human contact has become occasional and often perfunctory.
Since obtaining my license, I’ve primarily volunteered my time through Hospice of Washington County. I spend several hours after work each week with clients with ALS, MS, Alzheimers, osteoporosis and COPD. I earned CE hours with Gayle MacDonald on massage for cancer clients even before obtaining my license, and look forward to a connection with this community through CCRP. Professionally, I am still employed as an engineer in a small firm in Beaverton. I’ve been writing computer software for almost 40 years will continue to do so to sustain us until I “retire”, whereupon my wife of 38 years and I plan to relocate to eastern Oregon where I’ll begin building a massage practice in earnest. |
