Established in January 2000, the Cancer
Community Renewal Project is a national
non-profit organization committed to
developing healing and renewing programs
for people coping with cancer.
While it was originally organized to
address the needs of breast cancer
survivors, the Renewal Project currently
serves people with all types of cancer,
newly diagnosed, or many years beyond
medical treatment.
The Cancer Community Renewal Project
is unique in providing programs and
services on a sliding scale so that all
cancer survivors can benefit regardless
of their ability to pay.

The Cancer Community Renewal Project is
committed...
- To offering people with cancer,
opportunities to become empowered
and strengthened emotionally,
physically and spiritually through a
variety of activities and services,
in order to better survive their
cancer experience.
- To promote "compassionate
support" as a non-toxic treatment
that enhances the body's disease
fighting capacity.
- To address the needs of cancer
survivors through community
developed and supported programs and
activities.

The scope and services offered by The
Cancer Community Renewal Project are
determined by community needs and
resources. Each specific renewal
project activity is individually
developed and implemented by a community
of volunteers. Through cooperative
development and delivery, using the
compassion and strength of "community"
to create a place for people touched by
cancer to heal, the services and
activities benefit both the survivors
coping with cancer and those that
surround them.
